| Job Summary: | |
This position performs a variety of custodial tasks required in the routine
cleaning and maintenance of university buildings. Moderately heavy physical
effort is required for some tasks such as floor scrubbing, emptying rubbish
containers, moving furniture and equipment, etc. Occasional unscheduled
overtime may be required for snow removal and/or emergency cleanup. Work is
performed under the guidance of a Custodial Services Supervisor. The University of Wisconsin-Madison, Physical Plant, is committed to the highest standards of customer relation's principles for its customers, fellow staff members, students, and visitors. Staff will serve as role models by practicing exemplary behaviors when working with customers and fellow staff members. |

Position requires conviction record check. The first week is mandatory training on 2nd shift for non-Physical Plant employees. This position may occasionally be asked to work hours in excess of the normal work shift. |
