Job Summary:A University Services Program Associate/Program Coordinator in the Department of Liberal Arts and Applied Studies works with Program Directors to plan and implement quality, revenue-generating continuing education programming for adult learners from statewide, national and international audiences. The work of this position is at the direction of departmental academic staff and faculty who serve as Program Directors. The position is under the general supervision of the Program Assistant Supervisor.

The position will be responsible for supporting continuing education program areas, specifically distance education professional development and an annual distance teaching and learning conference. Assignment to a program area may change depending on departmental needs.

The position requires mastery of a broad set of competencies: event support and coordination, customer service, effective written and oral communication, organizational skills, time management, project management, and computer proficiency.

The Program Coordinator performs a wide range of administrative duties. The position requires the management of multiple priorities, strong attention to detail, excellent customer service, independent judgment, and sound decision making. When authorized, the program coordinator speaks/acts on the behalf of the program director in his/her absence.

7:45 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday or as assigned to meet the needs of the department programs. Ability and willingness to work additional or alternate hours during times of heavy programming.
