|The Department of Engineering Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks applications for up to 2 tenured/tenure track faculty positions in the area of nuclear engineering, science, & technology, including but not limited to nuclear materials, nuclear safety, reactor physics, nuclear detection, thermal-fluids, nuclear fuel cycles, fusion technology, and other related areas.
Candidates must demonstrate an established state-of-the art research program, or the potential to establish such a program, that complements the existing strengths in the Department of Engineering Physics.
Candidates for a tenured position (associate or full professor) must have an outstanding scientific background and excellent academic credentials consistent with a tenured faculty appointment at UW-Madison.
Well qualified candidates will have demonstrated high quality research with publications in top journals, a promising vision for research in nuclear engineering, science, or technology, experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment, and evidence of and commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.
The applicant must be highly motivated and independent.
In addition to a high degree of technical proficiency, this position also requires excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
