Working Title:
Assistant Professor of French
Official Title:
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR(C40NN)
Degree and area of specialization:
Ph.D. required, with specialization in contemporary French or francophone cultures. Additional specialization in other historical periods of French literature, in SLA or an equivalent field will be considered. Interest in digital humanities will also be considered.
 
  
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Applicants should be proficient in developing electronic media for culture and literature courses. Teaching experience preferred with use of electronic media.

Principal duties:
Teach two courses per semester at the undergraduate and graduate level, conduct scholarly research, and perform university and professional service as appropriate. Participation in undergraduate curricular design, and the occasional teaching at the graduate level will be included in the position.

 The Department of French and Italian at the University of Wisconsin-Madison invites applications for a tenure-track position in the teaching of contemporary French or francophone cultures, starting 26 August 2013.
