Project appointments require a Wisconsin residency. No civil service test is required for a candidate to be considered. Project appointments will not give the appointee rights to any permanent civil service position, and do not lead to permanent status in that classification. The funding for project positions as well as the appointment of the employee may be terminated at any time prior to the project end date. Title Specifications

Job Summary:This position will serve as the Financial Specialist for the Law School reporting directly to the Associate Dean for Administration, working under the leadership of the Law School Accountant. The Law School is a centralized unit comprised of 200 faculty and staff and 800 students. Position will be responsible for the processing of the majority of Law School financial transactions. Fund types include, but are not limited to 101, 104, 131, 132, 133, 136, 144, 161, 233. Position will also be responsible for counseling and training other personel in accounting policy. Other members of the Law School Business Office are the Associate Dean for Administration, Budget/Payroll/Building Manager, HR Assistant and Accountant.

The applicant should be able to demonstrate a commitment to courteous, sincere, and sensitive customer service. The position requires excellent people skills, an understanding of public relations and customer service issues, attention to detail, a sense of humor, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and multi-task, all while maintaining a positive attitude.
