HIRING ORGANIZATION: The register established from this recruitment will be used to staff future full and part time vacancies that occur at Department of Family Medicine Clinics within the next six months.
SALARY: Starting wage is $17.609/hr., plus excellent benefits. Pay schedule/range is 06-14. A six-month probationary period is required.

JOB DUTIES: Provide direct patient care; assist in triaging through appropriate telephone assessment and referral; schedule patients, perform routine lab-related tests, and participate in resident education.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a practical nurse in the State of Wisconsin.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Knowledge of general patient care and current nursing procedures in an ambulatory primary care setting; patient behavior and symptoms for a wide range of injuries and illnesses managed in a family practice clinic; medications and their administration, interactions and side effects; assisting with diagnostic and treatment procedures; state and federal drug control laws, rules and regulations; principles of aseptic and sterile techniques; emergency techniques and procedures. Ability to make accurate patient observations and communicate them both verbally and in written form; provide guidance for patients and participate in their plan of care; and practice good written and verbal communication skills.
