SALARY: Starting pay is between $35,291 and $58,232 per year depending upon qualifications, plus excellent benefits. This position is in pay schedule and pay range 07-04 and has a six month probationary period.

JOB DUTIES: This is a combination Web and Social Media development position within the Division of Information Technology (DoIT). This position will create and maintain web sites as well as use all of the tools associated with social media, including content management systems, blogs, social networks and online communities. The person should be able to produce and publish Internet video, podcasts, web and social media content and translate their knowledge into continuous improvement in these mediums. The experienced individual should understand the importance of web analytics and ongoing monitoring and response speed in social networks.
Specific responsibilities include the development and support of a variety of web-based functions. They range from smaller intra- and extra-net sub-sites to the large Division-wide site. This person creates and maintains social media outlets. This position requires mastery of the techniques and tools used for analysis, design and program development in the assigned area.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Experience using social media management and monitoring tools; knowledge of web accessibility guidelines and usability best practices; experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, etc.); know basics of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, C# Net, Visual Studio, Oracle SQL, ASP and Web Content Management systems; experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, etc.); active user of productivity tools; excellent communicator (written, presentation and listening skills); strong project management and interpersonal skills; and at least 1-3 years experience in web, community and social media development.
