LOCATION: Madison, WI
HIRING ORGANIZATION: UW-Madison, Division of Information Technology (DoIT), Applications Development & Integration Department, Financial Applications Group. This exam will be used to fill multiple positions in our Financial Applications Group.
SALARY: Starting pay is between $53,793 and $88,758 per year depending upon qualifications, plus excellent benefits. This position is in pay schedule and pay range 07-02 and has a one year probationary period. This position is included in the Fiscal and Staff Services Bargaining Unit.

JOB DUTIES: This position works with financial applications including Oracle / PeopleSoft Financials suite of products, bolt-on applications, interfaces and related system services, responsible for troubleshooting and debugging difficult PeopleSoft problems in the production system. The person in this position will take a lead role in the development and enhancement of financial application systems employing the use of complex, emerging technology. This individual will consult with varied staff during the functional design of applications as well as providing technical expertise and leadership to other IT professionals during the technical design and program development phases. Modifications to existing interfaces and bolt-ones will be required, including on-going support of production systems.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Professional work experience in computing, information technology or related fields; as well as professional work experience with complex, multiple-developer, ERP production systems (e.g., fixing bugs, using a change management system, etc). Professional work experience designing, developing or enhancing highly complex ERP administrative systems employing the use of emerging technology; those that perform multiple operations on data, interact with several other programs like validation modules, and have multiple layers of logic that must be applied against data.
