Intercollegiate Athletics at the University of
Wisconsin-Madison dedicates itself to the mission of providing athletic
opportunities to a wide range of students in an environment in which all
student-athletes can achieve their academic and competitive goals. The
Division strives to provide equitable opportunities for all
student-athletes and fosters the principles of sportsmanship, respect and
fair play on the field of play. The Division sponsors teams in 23 sports
competing under the regulatory guidelines established by the National
Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Big Ten Conference and the
Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA).
Provide program support for the Facilities Operations within
the Div. of Intercollegiate Athletics with support functions required for
the efficient and effective operation of the Athletic facilities.
Coordinate and oversee the Stadium/Arena Control functions for Camp Randall
Stadium or the Kohl Center. Manage the Metasys
Environmental Control Operations monitoring maintenance and building
systems. Responsibilities include but not limited to acting as Stadium
Control manager with single point responsibility for the Athletic Complexes
on a daily basis and for events with up to 80,000 patrons: monitoring the
automated building mechanical, safety and security, and fire protection
systems; working Stadium/Arena Control room for Camp Randall, McClain,
Field House or Kohl Center events; oversight of the centralized receiving
and mail distribution program; management of keys and communication
devices; implement and maintain all office and building procedure
documentation. Provide office management services including budget
preparation, purchasing, inventory management, and coordinate staff
training. Initiate purchasing building supplies for Camp Randall, Kohl
Center, the Administrative Office Building and/or the Athletic Operations
Building. Provide administrative support for the building management staff
consisting of the Director of Facilities, Assoc. Director of Facilities,
three building superintendents and a custodial operations manager.
